'twas the night before christmas.

And just like we have for the past 20+ years- we went to the Page's.
Ol' bobby is so cute.  He could not wait to give my tots their Christmas gifts.
And boy-- the kids got some pretty sweet gifts.   Gabe got a transformer.  He loves it.   And jubilee adores her first purple pony! She named it lanie. And jubi had so much fun combing the pony's hair. She also had fun combing Rob's hair. Haha.  Then she started combing everyone's hair. Even Evelyn.  She kept telling everyone "it's just hurts a little bit" With her wide eyes and nodding head.   Homegirl also had a ball with Charlie.  She petted him, high fived him & even hugged him.
Gabriel joined in on our game of kingdoms.  He was Frosty and the Snowman boot.  Some of the other names were wonky donkey, cactus jack, Miley Cyrus, Doris Day, Elmo, cabeza de vaca, & Pei Pei.
Homegirl also tried to be a bottomless pit. She ate and strand ate.  And I kept telling her to stop--- and she didn't.
We got home and she said her tummy was hurting.  I told her its because you kept eating.  She said," Ooo. I ate too much".
Thankfully, there was no yarfing involved.
Sweet Holly is looking forward to her grandbaby's arrival in a few months!!

New building.

I love this pic.  We got to write the promises of god on the steel supports for our new building.  I think this was in april/ may.

"hackin cook"

It's my precious girl's way of saying captain hook. I think over the summer my babes may have watched Peter Pan 25+ times.
And while I'm talking about jubilee dialect.  She says ketchup "chepit".  And loves to dip anything in it.  Chicken nuggets, fruit, bagel, fingers.
Okay, back to the point.  Captain hook.  Gabriel adore him.  And--- at times- it seems like jubilee is more like tinkerbell than she is Wendy.
Gabriel chose  to dress as captain hook for storybook day :0)
I made him an eyeliner mustache.  Jubi needed a pink one.  Surprisingly, I had some pink lip liner.   They were both so happy.  But for reals. They were thrilled.  They just don't look it in this pic.
And yes.  They both have hooks.  Haha.
The only thing I had to buy was the feather.  --- and. Of course, I had to get jubi a pink one.
I think there were 2 other captain hooks out of 18 kids and a couple of Peter pans.

The most wonderful time of the year!

It's christmas day! We just pulled into the driveway in valley mills.  And this little nugget-- my Christmas princess- I'm letting her snooze til the conways arrive.

I also had to give special instructions to make sure Marvin didn't come get her outta the car--- he just peeked out the door at us:0) I know he can barely stand it. Haha.  But we will all be better off if she snoozes a bit.  And by "we" I mean especially jubilee and I.
We started off the morning having the kids say their bible verses and we read and prayed some. Then the kids opened presents from us

Gabriel got a hoola hoop.. Whoa!!! He's a champ!! I have a video of it.  Jubilee got some hello kitty jewelry that she loves:0)
Aaah.  The simplicity of giving gifts to my babes at this stage in life.  $3.99 for a hoola hoop & target dollar spot jewelry for the miss.
Then we got dressed and headed over to see Opapa.  It was so blessed and special .  Dad played the guitar and. We sang Christmas hymns. And jubilee requested Jesus loves me.  And then we had Aunt Linda on the phone--- had to sing Elvis' Blue Christmas.

Oh.  And-- I need some further understanding- but apparently this is some sort of Czech tradition.   It's a manger scene made of cookies With paper faces put on each cookie person.  And-- one looks like the devil? What?! Kinda creepy... It was on the table in the living area at opapa's.

Potty talk

It's funny {not actually funny. More like strange} that jubilee peed in 3 pair of panties after nap today. And the 3rd accident left a puddle next to the train set.  And then at 12:30AM- she wakes up and tells me she needs to pee. And she's totally dry. And pees.
Not complaining.
She usually tells me. "mom. I luff you. " repeatedly when it's late at night.
Tonight she was "shhhhhh" ing me.   And said I didn't wanna wake up "gay-bay-ell".
I stole Yummy kisses all over her bubble gum cheeks.  That was a delight.

CO. Here we go!

Packing packing.

In the car. Ready for the sunny snow. Waiting while daddy ran in to hold the mail.
We got to stay the PM with the gablers.  Jubi slept on her "nap nap" next to the bed.  Uh... Yeah, she slept.  Yeah.
Ha. No.  This was the first of several nights with minimal sleep for yours truly. However--- to go down the slopes again--- I'd do it all over.  Sleepless nights and all.
I love when Sam reads to G! So thankful my babies have their precious ggg's!
On the way to catch our plane:0)
We all had a carryon. Plus a grocery sack full of coats.   It wasn't that. BAd once we checked our 3 suitcases and 2 carseats.
Now.   Getting from baggage claim to the rental car was a leetle trickier.  We found a dude with a cart to help us out.

Waiting To get on the plane.
Jubi was next to me and G with Roy. I would've loved to watch his face.  He was so excited. And loved flying.   Jubi wanted the window shut. Ha. They Both did really well. Granted we had short flights.  But With snacks and drinks and dish tv on the plane--- not so bad.
Jubilee. Was of course very friendly to the people sitting behind us on the plane. She sang "this little light of mine " quite frequently throughout the flights to CO.  Sweetness.

Random bag of treasures came in handy for the Miss.  Thanks to robin for the idea.
Funny story about the flight back.  Super daddy had Both kids sit with him.  And jubilee was especially talkative with a pilot that sat next to us.
She got so friendly-- she decided to tell him, " my mommy has tata's ".{or maybe it was- I like my monmy's tata's. } He asked, " what did she say?" with a big smile on his face...
I totally pretended like I didn't hear him.
After being in the car for about 10min. Homegirl zonked out with her hair all over her face. :0) while we drove to crested butte.
I'd fly again.  Yes. It was exhausting. But much better than being in the car for 18hours.
However, when we go skiing again-- I think my body adjusts better to altitude when we drive.. :0(
More on that in my next post.

Open up a can of ...

Whoop.
Roy put two cans of sardines in the cart with jubilee.   First of all.  Who buys sardines? Who actually eats them? And why in the world is the first can my daughter ever tries to open sardines?!
Gross.  I tell ya.  She got stank juice all over her hands & coats & pants.
That's how ya top of a day of plane rides are car traveling.   Hahaha.   Hallelujah.   Everyone is safe.  The car  (and my daughter) just smells like fishy fish.
Thank goodness there's a washing machine at the house.
I actually wasn't even mad or frustrated.  I just thought it was funny.   But.  I didn't actually laugh.

Save me uh piece uh dat corn.

That's a nacho libre quote in case you didn't know.  This day is forever etched in my memory. first time the niƱos had corn on the cob. They loved it.
But more because of the special family that made the corn. And all the other dear ones that gathered around me this summer as I walked down a painful path of losing another baby. {I only say I to remember that Roy and I were apart for much of this painful path as he was working in Baytown }  Charity, cara, Shannon, Michelle, mollie & Karla all brought meals for us.  And many others prayed. and called. And texted. And prayed.  And walked right next to me thru the whole thing.  Even though a certain few of them were miles away.   They were right here with me. Heart and soul.  And they are my dear ones.
So.  This evening. We sat on my dear friend from PR's patio and had dinner.  It was glorious.  It was such a good thing.  A god thing.  To be loved on by these amazing people.   Karla and I talked while hector played with the kids.  For a couple of hours.   And what brought me so much joy was the joy that hector had in loving on my kids.  And that Karla showed  by making the  beautiful meal.   She even bought hotdogs for us. :0) hahahaha.
I think the pico she made was 100x's better than the dog though.

One proud and thankful momma

Homeboy brought this home.  One of my favorite things I've found in his folder all year.

Mobile baby!!

Wooohoooo.  Blogging from the old phone :0) and watching deadliest catch with my sweetheart.  Glory!!

here we go!

I just found out I can blog from my phone... so hopefully - I'll be doing this much mo' regularly.
