A golden afternoon.

Seriously.  This may be my favorite day of the year so far.  Such a pleasant reprieve.  Relief. 73 degrees and breezy at 5:00pm. &  I got some good news from a restoration company owner about our upstairs rooms.  & it was cooooooler today.  & these 2 kids of mine played so well together today.  Gabriel shared his new love for rocks with jubilee.  They left the park with pocketfulls of rocks.  And it was cool outside. No sweating.
In the starting blocks :)

I <3 this park.  Still Praying we can live close to it or our other favorite.  After leaving the park we cruised the neighborhood for a bit looking at houses for sale and then ended up at rowdy taco.  What a great place!.  The staff was extremely friendly and attentive.  Then we slowly drove to aldi... And got snacks for g to take to school this week ...... And they finally had Diana's bananas again! And did I mention it's cool and breezy outside? Haha.
G grew up more today.  He was hopping up and down the front steps singing a song about months when we got home.
We missed daddy, but for the most part I managed to bathe the kids and get them in bed while keeping my cool and they didn't whine.
And When I put That big boy to bed--- he shared so much about his day.  Told me all about what his friends brought for show and tell today.  Carter brought an ant farm =•b
All in a golden afternoon.. So thankful.

Stay together.

Wow... This was such a sweet and surreal moment.  I pulled up  to the park, told G to unbuckle himself and then his sister. Then I  Told them both (several times) they could get out Gabriel's door and go to the play ground.... But stay together.
So I'm struggling to tie my shoes... No but really... And I look up and see them holding hands... So I scoot as quickly can towards them and snap this pic. I hear them chanting to each other "stay together... Stay together..."
And the weather--- whoa baby! It was low 70s! Breezy, cloudy, glorious.  And I wasn't sweating.   Thank.  You. Jesus.

Sidekick 9/5/14

Friday 9/5/14
Certainly not the most relaxing pedi I've ever had, but my toes look pretty and my prego feet are happy.
Jubi said the chair was squeezing her neck.  And then it got to the percussion--- and there were giggles. Lots of giggles.  Hopefully the other ladies were not annoyed.
Jubis said the peeps doing the pedis were speaking Spanish.  Ha.  I asked them if it was Chinese or mandarin.  Uh. No.
Vietnamese.
So I didn't actually get jubis piggies painted.  I told her that she has to go for three straight days about putting her fingers or toes in her mouth.
She still had fun and wants to go back again. I'm not sure when that will happen.

Afternoon delight 9.10.14

What's a pregnant lady to do when her brother calls and says there's chocolate crème brûlée in the fridge?
Just eat it.

Drop it like

9/9/14
It's hot.  Especially when you're gestating in September... But hey!!! Roy and his dad and Stephen fixed our tahoe's AC.  BOY--- that makes a difference for 3:00 pickup 5 days a week.
So anyways. I dropped off jubi in the carpool line at her school today.  First time ever that I haven't walked or carried her to her class.    that big girl.  She was so proud of herself and excited.
Miss adri-nana greeted us kindly and jubi was up the stairs and off to her room before i even thought to snap a pic.
Those pix above are us waiting in the line for drop off.

Terrific Tuesday 9.2.14

Jubi started preschool today. Funny thing.  Last week, someone asked if she went to MDO. she replied, "I'm in preschool ".
I prepped her ahead of time- informing her that she wouldn't be staying for lunch or nap.  I figured she might be a little disappointed.  I'd told her she would only stay 3 hours.  Last night, at bedtime.
"mom, how come I'm only staying three hours ?"
"that's just how we're doing it this year. "
" I wanna stay this many hours " (all 10 fingers.)

Pete the cat is rockin on our front porch.
This dude was one of many workers from the roofing company. I think he was talking on his phone here. Although it looks like he could be taking a nap.  This guy turned out to be most helpful in communicating with Roy about how to do things correctly. Much more effective than the "straw boss ".
In this sweet fellow has become a Jedi master at putting together Legos. Building things all by himself. Very impressive. He's come a long way in  The past year of doing Legos.

And loves her doc McStuffins Playdoh

So peaceful.

Roofers still progressing. I think they'll finish the east side of our pyramid today. Leaving only the carpet room roof for tomorrow. And then hopefully there is a well-installed roof that will last for decades.  Not that I Want to live under it for another decade.  I still wish there was some way we could relocate in the next month.  Only 37 days till 10/14/14.
Here is jubi sleeping in the carpet room amidst all the roofing action.  They're actually roofing right over her room today.  And Roy is working on some vent pipe thing over her room right now too.

I'm kind of obsessed with taking pix of my kids sleeping.
