Restoration. Redeemer.

Over and over again these words come to my mind.

I did a search for repairer of broken walls and found a great blogpost about the isaiah 58:12 scripture

Of course--- Nehemiah was God's tool to orchestrate the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem.

Nehemiah means comforter.

Just jubi

I love it that she loves snails.  And dirt for that matter.  She loves playing in the dirt. And manages to wipe it all on her face too.
This made me laugh.  Jubi said she was a snail. Love that dotted shell.
And. I Just love this beautiful girl. Period. Those golden brown ringlets.

Matchy matchy

That moment when you realize your pajamas and your blanket match... Like.  They're exactly the same. Gena purchased  these items for me.  Christmas gifts. (Probably 15 years apart).  This blanket is oh, so soft.
I heard on the news today that we officially hit triple digits for the first time this year.  Fall will be here before we know it.  Here's to cooler weather right around the corner.

Hotter than the 4th uh July.

But it's been so mild all summer, praise god! Well, except this week it really started heating up.
We went to VM for the parade.  Got there extra early.  Impressive.  Sat in front of the Methodist church again.
Here they are waiting for it to start.  It was a "long" wait.
The day before my little Betty Crocker helped me whip up these no-bake delights.  She loves helping me in the kitchen.  Sometimes she's helpful. ;0)
Yes, yes, the parade was fun... But much different than last year.  jubi ran out in the middle of the road-- during the parade and ran about 10 yards down the road. Roy didn't seem to notice as quickly as me b/c I beat him to her.  She was going for a lollipop.  Seriously.  I may bring a leash next year.
we did get to see cousins.  A special treat!
Grandpa drove some of the cousins in uncle Steve's convertible.
Afterwards we went back to M&P's for a big ol' lunch.  The kids sure had fun with cousins.  Jolee has an extra little spark ;0b reminds me a little  of jubi.

Gabriel and I ended the night watching the downtown fireworks from the manzanita room window. The pic barely shows a splash of color in the window jut superior to Gabriel's left wrist.  It was a pretty good look.... Of course, we had plenty of neighborhood fireworks action too.

School daze

It's hard to believe how quickly August through May flew by.
Here is g's first day of school.
My big Junior Kindergartener. Class of..... Let's don't go there yet.
He grew in many ways over the school year.  I'm so thankful for all of the teachers  and staff that invested in my children this year. Sowing seeds of truth, helping to develop their character.
Here's his last day of school.  They ended the day like they always do.  Singing:
God is for us. Who can be against us?
God is for us.  We are not alone.
God is for us.  We are for each other.
Alleluia.  He is for us.
I don't think  this was a pic of jubi's last day, close though.   But dern, she's as cute as a button here.
Jubi loves school.  She loves being Around others.  She usually tells me quite a bit about her day. She has been with miss LoLo this summer for 6 Tuesday's; However, she knows that she'll be in ms. Rodriguez class in the fall, with Cici, and has made it clear that she's ready to go to ms. R's class.

The music truck extinction.

For FIVE (plus) YEARS, I've been telling my kids the icecream truck is the music truck.  I've been truthful--- it is a music truck.  These sugar, hyper-activity inducing  mobiles frequent our hood. I even know one of the owners--- but have never once given in.
--- in walks Roy.
I remember walking across the street and using a half dollar coin to buy a fudge banana bomb stick at the corner of jimmark and fairway.  Those were the days.  Way back in the 90's days.   Not too  sure about this novelty.

But the kids enjoyed it.
Icecream brings people together.

It also brings about loud, wild, crazy activities such as wrestling.  Thank goodness I can shut the  door to the carpet room. And thank goodness I don't have to wrestle these two.

Thank goodness I don't have to do this either.
