Christmas 2014- part 1

We opened our gifts Christmas Eve morning.
Lego mania.
Rancor Legos for g.

Hello kitty for J.

And I finally had success with a half French braid.
Precious little hands at work.

We broke tradition this year.  The youngest page was sick-- rsv.  PoorLuke David. So we spent Christmas Eve at home. Auntie me came over.  They attempted to make gingerbread houses.
Then me went home and we drove around and looked at Christmas lights.
Every Franklin baby must be held by uncle Carl.
He was content until the kissing ensued.
Aunt Mary gave AZ lots of love, and some raspberries he had no idea what to think about.
And he was done with being held by
The time he got to Lacy.
Quinn is super sweet to his cousins.

Four months 2.14.15

Seriously?! Slow down, time!!
My sweet littlest valentine.
Happy sweet boy. AZ loves his hands. AND of course mommy daddy big sister and brother.  This boy is almost all smiles. He is ticklish on his back and neck and feet.

Turns out maybe I don't need glasses as badly as I thought I did. Just need a little more light to trim the babe's fingernails.

March madness

Really- I'm not mad.  yet. 😜We've been hibernating for months.  FOUR months and counting to be exact. We had a beautiful sunshiny day last month.  Well, we've had a few.  But this particular day we actually went to a park.  Roy let the kids fly a kite for the first time.
Yes. The kids even wore shorts! I think it may have been 78?
Love her little pose.
But-- back to the story.  We've had snow, sleet, ice and rain all in one day.   Probably sunshine on that day too.  ðŸ˜†
Jubi's School was canceled twice in the past nine days.  Gabriel's has been delayed and canceled and we played hooky one day because Roy didn't want us to drive.
Here's a few pix from last week's snow.
👀❤️❄️.  For reals.
Today, both of the kids schools were canceled. We ended up going to lunch at Homestead. Finally got to go on a cold day and the fire was Burning very lowly.
Oh, I'd have loved spending the morning like this.
In other news Jubilee told me she was having a baby shower for herself yesterday. This is how she got dressed up for it. (Minus the red superman cape she had on).

Monday Monday.

Just another ordinary muddy wet foggy Monday morning. These things I got to delight in after taking Gabriel to school.
A purring car seat
Tummy time with brown bear.
And a sweet big sister teaching baby brother about these animals.
Of course I already adore my daughter. When she's talking to Aubrey and teaching him little things it is absolutely the cutest thing. sweet little voice

We had a brilliant idea yesterday. He told the kids they had to put together 100 piece puzzle before they can watch a show. It was certainly not all sunshine and roses, but they managed to work together and get it finished finally. HooRay for teamwork.!
And Jubilee is shown here modeling her first ever bargain. She found these spongeBob SquarePants PJs at peas and tots for a whopping $.75

Roller derby

He's rolled A few times already. But today 1/23/15 he rolled about four times in a row. He even rolled to both sides.

Aubrey enjoys brown bear Brown bear and the duck and goose books right now. He wasn't as in to this book as he has been the others. He's really gotten a lot stronger lately on his tummy. And has significantly  increased his endurance. Ha ha.  And thankfully is spitting up less.
I noticed that just the past couple of times on his tummy he's been taking his feet up in the air. It's really cute.
Jubilee was trying to show him some tricks
Then she help me with my second batch of Amish cinnamon bread.
And this was last night. Gabriel was practicing his bass.

Muddy times getting to school these days.
Our driveway has been a mud bath for a month. I actually got the Tahoe  stuck in it one day when I was trying to get gabriel to school late for his Christmas party
--- another funny from today. Something i posted on Facebook
Just gave Aubrey Zeke a bath for the second time. Don't worry he's had many more than two baths. Roy normally Bathes him. And Jubilee was my superhero help her. #epicPoopDiaper

Weaponizing

When asked why there was a sword on her stroller:  "so I can protect myself from the bad guys when I'm pushing my baby at night and have a light on there too. "
She used some other descriptive words about what she would do to the bad guys… But those are omitted from this post.

She thinks like her daddy. Always on guard.

Swearin' in

It's still kind of surreal. My brother won the election in November. Hallelujah!
He worked really hard for many months. I'm very proud of him and thankful that all his work in politics has finally evolved into this job as a district clerk.

Probably about 20 of us total: family and friends to watch the swearing in. These two cuties were fast friends. Holding hands and talking up a storm.

We even got to tour uncle Jon's fancy office.
